Description :
The function block Up/Down Counter counts forward or backward from the preset value on the raising front of the count up input (CU) or of the count down input (CD). When the current counter value (CV) is equal to the one preset, the output (QU) is activated. When the current counter value (CV) is equal to zero, the output (QD) is activated. The counter loads the current counter value (CV) with the preset value (PV) when the load input (LD) is activated. At the same time, the counter resets and loads the counter current value (CV) with zero when reset (R) is active and it stops counting when it reaches the preset value of zero.
