A description of the complete failure/problem, facilitates the repair because:
A) will cost less
B) will be done directly on the faulty part

The warranty on repair is limited only to the part/section repaired and not to the rest of the instrument

In some cases of repair, the instrument is updated also replacing components that may seem still in good condition, but which statistically caused problems.
This may significantly affect the cost of repairing.
Example: If an instrument has an optocoupler of a fault input (while the rest of the components is still good and working), resilts from our statistics that other components should also be changed, they are replaced even if in that specific instrument are still good.
